Karen B. Jones

Karen B. Jones was born and raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Furman University and her Certificate of Legal Assistant Studies from Georgia College and State University. 

Ms. Jones began her career as a legal assistant with Stone, Christian & Peterman in 1986 and worked closely with Martha C. Christian until she was appointed as Superior Court Judge in 1994.  Since then she has served as legal assistant to Mr. Stone, gaining significant expertise in the management and organization of case materials as a litigation paralegal.  She has assisted Mr. Stone in all of the significant trials handled by the firm.

Ms. Jones was the instructor of the “Introduction to Paralegalism” course in the Paralegal Studies Program at Georgia College and State University from 2001 until 2006 and also co-taught the Family Law Class as a part of the program.

 

Ms. Jones is married to Tom Jones. They have two daughters and two grandchildren.  In her spare time, Ms. Jones is an active member at Northminster Presbyterian Church, enjoys minor league hockey, scrapbooking, and running, participating in a variety of road races from 5k’s to marathons across the U.S. in support of Cancer Research.
